Martha Woelke, Community Development administrator for the City of Bowling Green, will talk about the processes taken with the Downtown Forward program, and how the results of the community engagement done by CRD to drive improvements in the downtown will be used.
A life-long BG resident, Woelke has worked for the city for two years, after close to 25 years in the banking industry.
CRD staff conducted public forums, focus groups, and curated and distributed a public survey to garner community input on the needs and opportunities for downtown Bowling Green. The community feedback led the strategy committee to focus on ways to enhance the pedestrian experience downtown.
The Bowling Green Exchange Club meets for lunch on Tuesdays at noon at the Bowling Green Country Club. All are welcome to attend and the cost for lunch is $13.
