Reasons to vote for a new Bowling Green High School

To the editor:

FACT : If we had passed the Bowling Green School Levy four years ago we would have had enough money to build a new Bowling Green High School AND two new elementary schools. But it was voted down.

FACT : If we do not pass this levy for a new Bowling Green high school on November 7, 2023 any future building(s) will cost even more tax dollars than the current plan.

FACT : There will never be a plan that everyone thinks is the right plan. Some will never agree to any plan(s) for construction.

FACT : Our ancestors made sacrifices and built schools to provide educational opportunities for us.

FACT : We use to believe as a nation that we needed to make the world a better place for the future, even at the necessity of present sacrifices.

FACT : The idea of the Common Good is that which is good for the most individuals is a benefit for all. Sometimes people do things not because they really want to do them, but do them because they know it is the right thing to do.

FACT : How we see our community, the sacrifices we make, will influence others to come to and add to our wealth, or forgo the community of Bowling Green, Ohio.

FACT : Even if you don’t want to, please give up current tax savings and Pledge to help preserve our shared community heritage for the Common Good.

Vote for the future on November 7, 2023.
