To the editor,
Like so much of our community, I am proud of Perrysburg Schools. In November, we have a choice about the kind of schools we want and who should guide us and I will be casting my vote for Susan Rowland Miller for Perrysburg School Board.
I served this community for 16 years on the Board of Education in Perrysburg and know what I look for when choosing someone to lead this district. I want someone who shows up and participates in their committee assignments and comes to the board meetings prepared. I have no doubt that Susan will do her research and get answers to her questions prior to public meetings so she is ready to tackle the issues facing our district.
Most importantly, I want a board member whose only agenda is Perrysburg Schools, our students and our community, not themselves and not divisive national politics. The school board election is non-partisan because the issues we face are local. I had the pleasure of working with both Democrats and Republicans, but when it came to our schools we were all Yellow Jackets.
Susan Rowland Miller represents the best of our Perrysburg and our schools. She will be a thoughtful leader who listens to the community and does her research and makes the decisions that will continue to move our district forward. Susan’s volunteer commitment in our school district and her leadership experience make her an easy choice for me. I hope you will come to the same conclusion.
