BG board hears facilities update

The Bowling Green Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Performing Arts Center.

The board will meet for the purpose of hearing a presentation from DLR Group, Inc., which will provide an update on the progress of the Facilities Master Plan Project, specifically the constructing of a high school and related facilities and renovating and improving existing district facilities.

The public is invited to attend. There will be no public participation.

No action is expected to be taken.

BG Civil Service Commission meets

The Bowling Green Civil Service Commission will meet at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

The meeting will be held in the council chambers, City Building, 305 N. Main St.

The purpose of the meeting is to review, modify, add and/or recommend changes to Civil Service Rules, take all actions necessary to establish eligibility and certified lists, establishing testing procedures and processes, establishing passing examination scores, accept requests to waive out of hiring processes, and/or certify or refuse to certify names of candidates deemed eligible for consideration for hire or promotion to classified positions.

Action will also be taken, as necessary, to modify, add, accept, or abolish job descriptions, and to establish classified positions and/or schedule and/or establish the requirements for or types of hiring or promotional examinations.
