Emergency Essentials Fair is Saturday

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will once again be hosting an Emergency Essentials Fair for the Bowling Green community on Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The church hosts this fair annually to help citizens better prepare and manage emergency situations that may arise within everyone’s home or the community at large .

The event will include participation by representatives from the American Red Cross, Bowling Green Police and Fire departments, Wood County Hospital, and American Relay Radio League.

Presentations, demonstrations, and other activities will include instruction on how to assemble 72-hour emergency kits, food storage and nutrition for up to a year.

Parents should feel free to bring their children because there will be a kid’s corner and more.

This year the BG Christian Food Pantry has asked that fair attendees bring bathroom tissue and drop their donations into a box that will be setup for this purpose.

The event is open to the public and will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1033 Conneaut Ave.
