The Bowling Green Ice Hockey team will be hosting “Hockey 101” for students and the public on Saturday, September 30 in Slater Ice Arena from 3-6 p.m. Tours of the ice hockey facilities will begin at 3 p.m.
The tours will be led by players, where they will lead groups through the facilities to see the team lounge, weight room and locker room.
They will also show students where the student section is located and have the Bleacher Creatures teach chants that are used during home games. Wrapping the tours up at 3:45 p.m. followed by free pizza for students handed out at the marketing table in the southeast corner of the arena and concessions being open for the general public.
At 4:30 p.m. the Orange/Brown scrimmage will begin. Following the scrimmage will be “Skate with the Falcons” ending at 6 p.m. with free charge of skate rentals.
Hockey 101 is free of charge for students and the public.
