A stateside warrant has been issued for a Toledo man who reported a fake bomb threat.

Del’Rico Wallace, 26, was scheduled to appear Tuesday for a hearing to revoke his bond.

When he didn’t show up, Wood County Common Pleas Judge Molly Mack issued the warrant.

Wood County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Charles McDonald said the state filed the motion to revoke Wallace’s bond after he consistently failed required drug testing by adult probation.

Wallace tested positive for marijuana, McDonald said.

The defendant also didn’t show for a required pre-sentence investigation, he added.

Defense attorney Dmitriy Tatarko said he was able to reach his client at 1 p.m., at which time Wallace said he was not aware of the scheduled appearance.

McDonald said notice of this hearing was made Aug. 7.

It is now 1:30 p.m. and the defendant has made no attempt to be here, McDonald said.

Mack revoked Wallace’s own recognizance bond.

Wallace pleaded guilty in July to the amended count of inducing panic, a fifth-degree felony.

On Aug. 29, 2019, Perrysburg police responded to SCHÜTZ Container Systems on South Wilkinson Way for a reported bomb threat.

The person making the report said they had received a phone call from someone saying a bomb was going to go off.

The business was evacuated, and all shipping ceased. A K-9 unit responded, and no bomb was found.

Investigators learned it was Wallace who made the call, which had an impact on the business valued at $64,166.

Wallace has agreed to make restitution in that amount.

Sentencing remains set for Sept. 18.
