The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of Bowling Green Christian Food Pantry, located at 419 Gould St., Suite 6.

This event is scheduled for Wednesday at 1 p.m. and is open to the public.

The ceremony will include congratulatory words from city representatives to welcome Director Todd Saylor to his new location.

The Bowling Green Christian Food Pantry opened its doors Jan. 4, 1984, and was incorporated asa non-profit organization March 21 of that same year. Since then, the pantry has grown and expanded. They provide groceries, produce, dairy, meat, hygiene products, toiletries and donated food products from local businesses to their clients. The Bowling Green Christian Food Pantry has since moved into its new location, which will provide a central location to all their clients.

That, alongside their partnerships with FFC drive-through dinner, Weston Church’s food pantry and Welcome BG will allow the Bowling Green Christian Food Pantry to reach and help as many clients as possible.

Guests are asked to register online at bgchamber.net/rsvp. Light refreshments will be served.
