Perrysburg man indicted for alleged strangulation

A Perrysburg man is in jail after being arrested for allegedly strangling a household member.

A Wood County grand jury on Wednesday indicted Ricky E. Deal, 51, for strangulation, a third-degree felony, and domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor.

On July 15, Deal allegedly created a risk of serious physical harm to a woman by strangulation after he allegedly placed both hands on her throat and began applying pressure. The woman told police she almost lost consciousness. The officer observed bruising on the woman’s face and throat as well as on both arms.

The grand jury also indicted:

Aaron Tyrell Finley, 49, Perrysburg and currently in jail, for domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. On June 26 in Rossford, he allegedly pushed a household member up against a wall, causing redness to her upper chest. He had previously been convicted of domestic violence in 2018 in Perrysburg Municipal Court.

Richard Lee Pelka, 47, Perrysburg, for obstructing justice, a third-degree felony. On June 13, he allegedly hindered the apprehension of another or assisted another to in the commission of a crime. The crime committed by the person aided was a felony of the first or second degree, aggravated murder or murder, or the person aided was a child.

Michael A. Snyder, 54, Curtice, for receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, and vandalism, a fifth-degree felony. On May 11, he allegedly disposed of four car hauler trailers that were the property of a Millbury business. He is accused of taking possession of the trailers from a motel parking lot, knowing they were stolen, and turned them in to a Toledo company for scrap without permission to do. He was paid $8,385 for the trailers. While allegedly removing the trailers from the parking lot, he damaged a Peterbilt tractor, including the rods to the brake chambers, slack adjustors and front bumper.

Michael Barry Siddle, 59, Lansing, Michigan, for identity fraud, a fifth-degree felony, and falsification, a first-degree misdemeanor. An officer observed a car with three occupants pull into a gas station on Buck Road and sit for 30 minutes before departing. The vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation with only two occupants. The officer returned to the area of the gas station to look for the passenger who had been left behind. The man, later identified as Siddle, was reportedly found hiding in a bathroom stall of a fast-food restaurant. He allegedly provided a fake driver’s license. After being taken into custody, his real identity was confirmed, and the officer discovered there was a statewide warrant for his arrest. He also reportedly had in his possession a debit card bearing a name other than his.

Matthew Steven Sicurella, 26, Cincinnati, for identity fraud, a fifth-degree felony; falsification, a first-degree misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, a minor misdemeanor. On May 18, he allegedly used the personal information of another man, made a false statement with the purpose to mislead a public official, and while intoxicated in public, engaged in conduct which was likely offensive.

Chrishawn Marchan Johnson, 49, Markham, Illinois, for forgery and passing bad checks, both fifth-degree felonies. Between Jan. 21 and Feb. 10, Johnson is accused of defrauding a Rossford business of $6,617 by using a forged check while knowing the check would not be honored or payment would be stopped.

Muhannad Swidan, 47, Ypsilanti, Michigan, for domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. On June 1, he allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a household member. He has previously been convicted of domestic violence in 2021 in Perrysburg Municipal Court.

Co-defendants Radu Constantin, 22, Charlotte, North Carolina; Laurentiu Zamfir, 34, Tacoma, Washington; Iorgu Florica, 43, East Spencer, North Carolina; and Gilbert G. Musuroi, 32, Bryant, South Dakota, all for receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, and possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony. On April 4, they allegedly received electrical breakers, which were the property of a Rossford business, while knowing the merchandise had been obtained through theft. They also allegedly had pliers in their possession, which allegedly were used for criminal purposes. The value of the property was at least $7,500. Warrants have been issued for their arrest.

Tyreese Morris, 33, Findlay, for two counts of tampering with evidence and one count of having weapons while under disability, all third-degree felonies. On March 12, he allegedly twice destroyed or altered records or documents with the purpose of impairing their value as evidence in an investigation. He also was reportedly found in possession of a firearm after having previously been convicted of attempted assault in 2016 in Lucas County.

Six people were indicted for drug-related offenses, including:

Tyler Evan Ruiz Bunce, 27, Toledo, for trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine, trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, all fourth-degree felonies. On April 5, he was allegedly found in possession of and was preparing for distribution between 5 and 10 grams of cocaine.

Gerold B. Middlebrooks, 53, Toledo and currently in jail, for trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine, both first-degree felonies. On April 5, 2022, he allegedly was found in possession of and was preparing for distribution between 27 and 100 grams of cocaine.

Abdelfattah M. Sadeh, 26, Cincinnati, for trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana, both third-degree felonies. On Feb. 13, Sadeh allegedly was found in possession of and was preparing for distribution between 1,000 and 5,000 grams of marijuana.

Jacob Michael Wright, 26, Columbus, for possession of marijuana, a fifth-degree felony. On April 7, he allegedly was found in possession of between 200 and 1,000 grams of marijuana.

Dewone Desean-Kenneth Cook, 31, Warren, Michigan, for possession of a fentanyl-related compound and trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, both first-degree felonies; and aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drugs, both fifth-degree felonies. On April 20, he was allegedly found in possession of and was preparing for distribution of between 20 and 50 grams of a fentanyl-related compound. He also allegedly was found in possession of oxycodone and alprazolam. He had previously been convicted of a drug abuse offense in 2018 in Wayne County, Michigan.

William S. Hendricks, 52, Columbus, for possession of marijuana, a fifth-degree felony. On Jan. 15, he allegedly was found in possession of between 200 and 1,000 grams of marijuana.
