Ain’t it Grand? Rally by the River Days

GRAND RAPIDS — The ringing of the Town Hall bell kicked off Rally by the River Days last weekend.

The three-day event featured music, nature hikes, disc golf and a rubber duck race.

Rita’s Dairy Bar was bustling with business.

Some of the refreshments on tap were lemonade, ice cream, crepes, coffee and a drive-thru chicken dinner.

There was a Town Hall performance of “Grease” on Friday, as well as live artists.

Front Street was filled with visitors.

Saturday events included an “All Ducked Out’ parade, children’s suncatcher craft and chalk art.

On Sunday, there was a pottery demo, motor car rides, a cardboard boat regatta and “pawjama party” puppy parade.

Benches by the Maumee River were full on Sunday in Grand Rapids.

RR Motorcar Bridge Rides, which carries passengers over the Maumee River on a decommissioned rail bridge, was operating on Sunday in Grand Rapids.
