8th annual Blues, Brews & Brats comes to Waterville

WATERVILLE — Waterville Rotary and Third Street Cigar have again teamed up for the 8th annual Blues, Brews and Brats Festival. The festival takes place July 29 downtown.

The show starts at 5:30 pm.

This year’s lineup features Grammy nominated Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers. The show will also feature the Altered Five Blues Band who are fresh off two nominations from the prestigious Blues Music Awards for album of the year and song of the year.

The festival will invite for the first time the Ghost Town Blues Band whose album “Shine” was the No. 1 Blues album on the Billboard album charts. Opening the evening is Detroit’s Prince of the Blue Chris Canas whose new album “Detroit” ( Third Street Cigar Records) has been critically acclaimed by Blue Blast Magazine.

Tickets are $20 and are available day of the show. All tickets are general admission.

Proceeds from this event go to Waterville Rotary which just celebrated its 95th year as a Rotary Club and is working on Centennial projects for the community. The proceeds will benefit local schools through high school scholarships and AW Interact. Rotary also supports local food banks/Food Builds, the YMCA, Nature’s Nursery and other organizations/community projects.
