A Toledo man was killed early Tuesday morning when his motorcycle struck another vehicle, according to the Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The patrol is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred today at 12:16 a.m. on I-75 at the 187-mile post in Middleton Township.
A Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle, operated by Jamie Pickerel, 47, Toledo, was driving northbound on I-75 when he struck another vehicle in the rear operated by Essence Myerholtz, 22, Whitehouse.
Pickerel was ejected off of the motorcycle. He was transported Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo by Middleton Township EMS.
Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in this crash.
The crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
The patrol was assisted by Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Perrysburg Township Police Department, and Middleton Township Fire and EMS and Ohio Department of Transportation.
