A total of 14 members of the Bowling Green State University track and field squad have been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Team, announced by the league office on Wednesday.
The Falcons’ list includes Lane Anderson, Kami Baker, Darian Braddix, Grace Bradtmueller, Raegan Burkey, Reagan Emberton, Destiny Fernandes, Kristin Groppe, Mateya Haintz, Jemeila Hunter, Elise Johnson, Zaresha Neal, Alexis Parchman and Brianna Richard.
Neal and Richard each have been named to the Academic All-MAC Outdoor Track and Field Team for the fourth time, while Johnson earns the honor for the third time. Braddix, Fernandez, Groppe and Hunter each have been named to the team for the second time in their respective careers.
The Academic All-MAC team honor is bestowed upon a student-athlete who has excelled in both athletics and academics. To qualify, said student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s competitions for that particular sport. First-year students and transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
