A man from Luckey has pleaded guilty to the amended charge of aggravated drug trafficking.

Christopher Michael Stewart, 36, appeared Monday in the courtroom of Wood County Common Pleas Judge Molly Mack.

He was indicted in March for aggravated trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs, both third-degree felonies.

Stewart pleaded guilty to aggravated trafficking, a fourth-degree felony, and the possession charge was dismissed.

On May 2, he and his co-defendant were found in possession of the bulk amount of methamphetamine and were preparing it for distribution.

According to Wood County Assistant Prosecutor Charles McDonald, as part of an active drug investigation, the Wood County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search of a home in the 2000 block of Joseph Road.

They found the co-defendant had recently smoked meth and Stewart in the back bedroom, where dozens of unused Ziplock bags and a digital scale were found.

Also found in the home were 4.33 grams of meth, McDonald said.

Mack said she could impose a prison sentence of six to 18 months and a driver’s license suspension of six months to five years.

Sentencing was scheduled for Aug. 14.

Stewart’s co-defendant, Michelle G. Komorny, 40, Luckey, has a pretrial conference scheduled for July 31.
