Hepcat Revival swings into Woodlands for Wednesday lunch show

PERRYSBURG — Wednesday at Woodlands weekly concert series continues this week with the high energy music of Hepcat Revival from noon-1 p.m. at the Woodlands Park shelter area, 429 E. Boundary St. Picnic tables are available for those who bring lunch or bring a chair to enjoy the music while sitting in the shade or sun.

Hepcat Revival is more than just a band-they are an experience. Their vibrant stage presence and infectious grooves have become synonymous with energic jump blues, swing and funk that will transport you back to a bygone era of music where swing ruled the dance floors. The seven-piece band takes their audiences on a musical journey paying homage to the legends of Louis Prima, Big Joe Turner, and Cab Calloway all while adding their unique flair and original arrangements. Each member of the band brings their immense talent and passion for music to the stage, creating a powerhouse ensemble that has sustained them for 25 years.

Band members are Vince Krolak playing trumpet, Stan George on saxophone, Tom Ritter, playing bass, Travis Knepper on drums, Ken Zuercher on guitar and Pete Ford playing the keyboard. Greg Tye leads the band with his era-rich vocals and charismatic stage presence.
