Perrysburg doctor named medical director of WeCare tlc

PERRYSBURG — WeCare tlc, a leading onsite and near-site workplace health center provider, welcomes Dr. Kenneth Power as its new medical director.

Based in Perrysburg, Power is a board-certified family physician with over 20 years of primary and palliative care experience.

Power also serves as the lead family physician for the WeCare tlc Perrysburg Health & Wellness Center.

As medical director, Power will oversee provider engagement and coaching, EMR development and quality improvement.

Power believes in developing meaningful patient-physician relationships through in-person visits and the belief in a balanced “medication vs. patient-centered goals” approach to cater to each patient’s unique lifestyle and level of motivation.

Born and raised in Newfoundland, Canada, Power holds a bachelor’s degree in medical sciences and an M.D. from Memorial University, followed by a family practice residency with a rural medicine option. He has also achieved board certification in hospice and palliative care.

“I am extremely proud to begin to work with WeCare tlc in a new capacity to provide quality, coordinated healthcare to our patients and create meaningful patient-physician relationships,” Power said. “I look forward to bringing my experience and skills to the role of Medical Director for WeCare tlc.”

Power’s expertise includes risk reduction through advanced lipid analysis, genetic polymorphism-directed treatment of hypertension, allergy, immunology, mast cell assessment and bioidentical hormone replacement.
