Neal earns second team All-American honors

AUSTIN, Texas – Bowling Green senior thrower Zaresha Neal closed her historic career at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship, finishing 15th in the discus to earn second-team All-America honors.

She competed in the event on Saturday at the University of Texas. Neal threw a top mark of 53.23 meters (174 feet, 7 inches), putting her 15th in the field of 24 and seven spots above her seed.

Neal is the sixth Falcon to earn All-America honors during the indoor and outdoor seasons.

Neal’s other throws traveled 52.51 meters (first attempt) and 53.08 meters (second attempt).
