A Michigan woman who flipped her car on a city street has been cited for driving drunk.

On Thursday at midnight, Bowling Green police responded to a vehicle collision in the 300 block of East Court Street.

The vehicle, a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, was resting upside-down on its roof in the middle of the street.

It apparently had struck a parked sedan sitting on the south side of the road, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report, and had pushed that vehicle onto the sidewalk.

The driver was identified as Emily Garcia, 22, Adrian.

She told officers she was traveling to a friend’s house and was using her cell phone when she struck the vehicle.

The officer smelled alcohol on Garcia’s breath, she appeared drowsy, and she had watery eyes and slightly stuttered speech at times, according to the report.

She failed several field sobriety tests.

A breath test administered at the police station showed a blood alcohol content of 0.138.

Garcia was cited for OVI, PAC and failure to maintain control.
