Heather Borsos’ business started as a hobby.

A ribbon cutting was held for Eden Rose Inspirations on Tuesday.

“When my husband and I got married, I decided I wanted to do our own flowers. I didn’t even think about it (as a business),” Borsos said. “I’ve been kind of doing them ever since and three years ago, I decided to officially make a business.”

This small hobby of hers happened on a whim. Ten years later, it transformed into a business that celebrates all parts of life.

“On our website, the whole mission statement is there but basically, flowers are given at all times of life. Birth, a monumental moment, weddings, anniversaries, death, etc.,” Borsos said.

“So, we create those moments. We kind of consider it like threads in the blanket or the tapestry of life to wrap you in love.”

The future for Eden Rose Inspirations is a bright one. Aside from providing beautiful flowers, Borsos said that the floral shop plans to provide workshops (accommodating about 30 people), a build-your-own-bouquet bar, a corsage and boutonniere bar and candles.

“I’m really excited to serve the Bowling Green community. It’s a big, big thing,” Borsos said. “This is kind of my dream come true and we’re growing. As we grow, we will see what people want and we will adjust accordingly.”

Borsos is also passionate about bringing comfort to families who have experienced the loss of a child. She donates casket sprays for children in Wood County who have passed before the age of 18 or have yet to graduate from high school.

Ed Rose Inspirations is located at 328 S. Main St.
