Stroll the Street kicks off summer events in Rossford

ROSSFORD — This year downtown will feature the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area.

Purchase a liquid refreshment from local watering holes including Moe’s Place, Danny’s Café and Billy V’s. Sip and walk while enjoying Stroll the Street every Tuesday, 4:30-7:30 p.m. from May 23-Aug. 29.

Edward Ford Memorial Park will host live music, craft vendors, crafts and face painting for the kids, and paint along sessions for adults. Ten food trucks line the street each week and fresh produce is available from our local farmers. Register yoa ur classic car at the Cruise In, the third Tuesday of every month, June-August, to win gas cards and food truck vouchers.

On May 30 the downtown merchants will join the Stroll the Street fun for their 125th Anniversary of Rossford celebration. A free downtown trolley will take guests to all participating merchants for special sales, activities, and a scavenger hunt for kids and adults. Check out historical building photos along the way and circus performers from Birds Eye View Circus. Randy Krajewski’s Polish Band will perform at Edward Ford Memorial Park and All Saints Church will host a pierogi sale. Rossford 125th Anniversary T-shirts will be available for sale.

Classic car owners, cruise over to Stroll the Street in Rossford on the third Tuesdays, June 20th, July 18th and Aug. 15 for a Super Cruise. Crusin’ Zeake, will provide music at the Rossford United Methodist Church, 270 Dixie Hwy. The event will run from 4-7 p.m. Every registered driver will receive a $5 food coupon good at any of the 10 food trucks at the event. Eight $25 gas cards will also be given away in a random drawing of registered car owners.

Parking is available in portions of the Rossford United Methodist Church parking lot as well as the IPS Headquarters parking lot on the other side of Edward Ford Memorial Park at 146 Dixie Hwy.
