His passenger was seriously injured.

On May 7, shortly after 5 p.m., the 15-year-old was backing out of a private drive onto Deshler Road in Bloom Township.

A westbound vehicle operated by Christine Jordan, Cloverdale, struck the teen, who was driving a 2016 Polaris RZR, which is an all-terrain vehicle.

The ATV overturned, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office accident report.

The teen was taken by North Baltimore EMS to Blanchard Valley Hospital with suspected minor injury.

The passenger in the ATV, Christopher Smith, Arcadia, was taken by North Baltimore EMS to Blanchard Valley Hospital with suspected serious injuries.

Neither the teen nor Smith were wearing a helmet.

Jordan’s 2014 GMC Acadia drove off the north side of the road and struck a utility pole. She was not injured, according to the report.

Jordan was cited for operating a vehicle while under the influence after an alcohol test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.08%.
