Show Me the Movie Contemporary Film Series at Way: ‘Armageddon Time’

PERRYSBURG — Come to Way Public Library, 101 E. Indiana Ave., on May 23 at 2 p.m. for a showing of “Armageddon Time.”

This coming-of-age story is inspired by screenwriter/director John Gray’s childhood in Queens in the 1980s. He’s heard the stories of his grandparents fleeing the antisemitism of 1920s Ukraine. Now at age 11 he is pulled out of public school, enrolled in a prestigious private school, and learns of his family’s own biases against Black people.

This film is rated R and has a runtime of 1 hour and 55 minutes.

This event will be in Way ’s lower-level meeting rooms. Admission to this event is free. Refreshments will be served.
