Bowling Green City Schools’ selection for superintendent is now down to two.

Bruce Otley was hired Monday as the new superintendent at Liberty-Benton.

Otley, a 1990 graduate of Bowling Green High School, was one of three finalists for the post of superintendent for the Bowling Green school district.

He and finalists Kim Brueck, director of Human Resources and Student Services for Green Local Schools; and Ted Haselman, superintendent at Pike-Delta-York Local Schools, introduced themselves at a community forum last month.

Otley has been with Liberty-Benton for 17 years, first as a middle school principal and most recently as director of operations.

BGSC board President Ryan Myers said the board will make its decision at tomorrow’s special meeting.

The school board will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Administrative Offices, 137 Clough St.
