Advanced planning

Folk art: Ukrainian-Inspired Eggs will be held May 11 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the senior center, 140 South Grove St. Learn how to create a delicate centerpiece. These dyed eggs originate in ancient Eastern and Central European. Participants will use the traditional “kistka” tool to decorate their eggs with a bees wax and a rich permanent dye. Learn the history of this art form and will be guided to make a traditional Ukrainian-style pattern on one side and their choice of decoration on the other. All materials will be provided, including a 9 inch by 4 inch display stand. Cost is $20. Wear old clothing or an apron because the permanent dyes will stain. Instructor is Mary Soneson. Registration required by calling 419-353-5661 or email [email protected].

No person over 60 shall be denied nutrition services because of failure to contribute all or part of the cost. Participants shall determine for themselves what they are able to contribute. A $2 suggested donation is appreciated for home delivered meals. All payments can be mailed to: Wood County Senior Center, 140 S. Grove St., Bowling Green, OH 43402. For more information, call 419-353-5661 or 800-367-4935 or email [email protected].
