Bowling Green State University competed at three meets on Saturday — at Louisville’s Clark Wood Invite, the Ashland Alumni Open and the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet.

In Louisville, the Falcons were balanced throughout their various events. Morgan Patterson entered the program record book in the 100 hurdles, while Darian Braddix ran the best non-wind-aided 100 of her career. Bianca Staples and Jenna Lucas recorded their best high jump marks of the outdoor season, while Ashley Kisor and Alexsia Davis did the same in the 400. Lucas also matched her best 100 hurdles time of the year. Recording their second-best times or marks of the outdoor campaign were DaMya Barker ( 100 and 100 hurdles) and Sabrina Imes (triple jump).

The throws group had a spectacular weekend in Ashland, with Mateya Haintz winning the hammer for the fourth time in six meets, Reagan Emberton logging personal records in the shot put and discus, and Lane Anderson adding a PR in the shot put. Grace Bradtmueller and Kami Baker each registered their second-best discus marks of the year. At GVSU, the distance group produced great results throughout the evening. Kylee Cubbison ran the 1500 in 4:27.29, ranking her fifth in program history. Also running the 1500 was Izzy Best, who moved into 10th in school history with a time of 4:33.72. Raegan Burkey won the open 800, her first career individual event win. Kristin Groppe had a 3K steeplechase PR, her third consecutive race with an improved time. Elise Johnson placed fourth in the 5K at 17:59.02, the second-best overall time of her career and best outdoor time.
