Rossford tennis losses close contest to Emmanuel, 3-2

ROSSFORD — Rossford tennis fell to visiting Emmanuel Christian, 3-2, on Friday.

Justin Hire continued his winning ways, taking first singles for the Bulldogs by defeating Tyler Miller, 6-4, 6-2. The Bulldogs fell in the other two singles matches, but both went down to the wire in three sets.

In second singles, Emmanuel’s Karston Kickbusch defeated Zach Boggs, 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4), and in third singles, Emmanuel’s David Eckloff defeated Nathan Findley, 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.

The Rossford second doubles team of Chloe Madden and Tyler Brown defeated Joe Wassef and Stephen Eckoff, 6-2, 6-1. The Rossford first doubles team of Allie Misko and Logan Bieganowski fell to Brian Hall and Matt Hall, 6-3, 7-5.

The Bulldogs are at home against Springfield on Monday.
