PERRYSBURG – It’s been 26 years since the Perrysburg Farmers Market made its debut, and this season, we’re coming back bigger and better than ever – with a new name and a fresh new attitude.

Enjoy the Perrysburg Farmers Market, now known as Visit Perrysburg Market Days downtown, every Thursday starting May 11 through Sept, 21, with fresh and local produce, plants, flowers, crafts, art and food trucks – all within the DORA footprint.

The event runs from 4-8 p.m. and is rain or shine.

New this season, there’s a food truck alcove where sweets and drinks will be featured. There will be 19 food-related vendors in this pedestrian-friendly venue.

Music at the market, now known as Lettuce Turnip the Beet will be held on the Commodore Lawn every Thursday night from June 1-Aug. 31. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring a blanker or a lawn chair, and enjoy the free music from 7-8:30 p.m.

Site maps and performance line-ups are available on visitperrysburg.com and will also be distributed at Way Public Library, merchants and throughout the market.

“Taking a cue from our merchants to provide fresh, new products each year is the proponent behind rebranding the market and concert series this year,” said Executive Director Christine Best. “Explore the 60+ merchant booths for gardening tips, organic produce, bottled seasonings for every heat level, delicious and locally-made baked goods, or check out the artwork and crafts handmade by area small businesses. It’s a festival-like atmosphere every single Thursday in Perrysburg.”

The Perrysburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, a 501c(6) private corporation, was founded in 1997 to promote tourism and convention business in the city of Perrysburg and its immediate vicinity. The Perrysburg CVB hosts many events throughout the year, including the Sculpture Walk at Woodlands Park, Against the Wind exhibit at Riverside Park, the Visit Perrysburg Market Days and Lettuce Turnip the Beet Music at the Market.
