Provide input on 208 Plan update by Sunday

People who live and work in Northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan are encouraged to complete a survey that will help guide a multi-year update of the Areawide Water Quality Management Plan.

The plan covers Wood, Lucas, Ottawa and Sandusky counties in Ohio, and Bedford, Erie and Whiteford townships in Monroe County, Michigan. Also known as the 208 Plan, the document is a comprehensive water quality management tool covering wastewater treatment, water pollutants in urban and rural areas, and policies related to water quality.

Input from residents and water quality professionals in the planning area is a crucial part of the planning process.

This is an important first opportunity for broad input on the plan. There will be additional opportunities to help make sure that the 208 Plan meets the needs of the region. The update is expected to be complete by January 2026.
