BG board interviews candidates

The Bowling Green City Schools Board of Education will hold special meetings on Monday and Tuesday at 4:15 p.m. and Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. at the middle school.

The board will immediately go into executive session to discuss appointment of personnel.

The board will be interviewing superintendent candidates, said President Ryan Myers.

No action is anticipated upon the conclusion of each of the executive sessions.

Port authority meets Monday

The Wood County Port Authority will meet Monday at 7:30 a.m. at Northwestern Water & Sewer District, 12560 Middleton Pike.

BG Council committee hears update on finances

The finance committee of Bowling Green Council will meeting Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the council chamber located in the City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church St., to hear the quarterly update regarding the city’s finances.

Street lighting work closes part of North Main Street

The eastern most lane of northbound traffic on North Main Street will be closed from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. between 248 and 312 N. Main St. Monday-Thursday.

The intersection at East Oak Street will remain open for the project’s duration. Additionally, the North Main east sidewalk, between Oak and Ridge streets, will be closed, with a pedestrian detour to North Prospect Street.

This closure is due to conduit boring for street lighting. Dates of this closure are subject to change and are dependent on weather and the progress of work.
