Ray L. McLargin, 88 passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Genoa Care Center.
He was born on July 21, 1934, to Emmil and Clara (Arnold) McLargin. He later graduated from Lake High School. On July 16, 1954 he married Shirley Nelson in Millbury, OH. Ray and Shirley have raised 3 children and celebrated nearly 69 years of marriage together.
He was employed at LOF as a Mechanic for 30 years. He later worked 24 years as the Lake Township Fiscal Officer and was at Fort Meigs Cemetery in Perrysburg as their Fiscal Officer from 2007 until he retired. Ray was also a past Lake Township Trustee. He was a member of the Rossford United Methodist Church, and as a proud Mason, Ray, was a member of the Genoa Blue Lodge #433 and was the past Grand Master. He enjoyed golfing, but his greatest joy was his family.
In addition to his wife Shirley, Ray is survived by his children: Daniel (Nancy) McLargin, Debra (Randy) Morrison and Dennis (Lori) McLargin. Brother, Donald (Monie) McLargin, 3 grandchildren and 4 great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Doris Fondessy, brothers: Richard and Leroy McLargin.
Ray will be laid to rest at a family committal service in Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury, Oh. Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home in Luckey is handling the arrangements.
