Man wanted for questioning in BG suspicious death remains in jail

A Bowling Green man who is a person of interest in the suspicious death of a woman remains in jail.

Jimmy Cole, 29, appeared in Bowling Green Municipal Court this morning and pleaded no contest to a charge of criminal damaging, which occurred Nov. 6.

He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 30 days suspended. He was given credit for three days already served since he was arrested Friday in Fostoria for an outstanding warrant.

Cole was wanted by Bowling Green police in connection to the suspicious death of 23-year-old Alicia Rosa, who was found unresponsive in her apartment in the 300 block of North Main Street around 4:20 p.m. Thursday.

Detectives with the Bowling Green Police Division continue to investigate the incident as a suspicious death.

BGPD Lt. Adam Skaff said Rosa and Cole knew each other and at one time were involved in a relationship.

A GoFundMe account has been created to help pay for funeral expenses. As of this morning, the fund has raised $7,120 toward its $20,000 goal.

The GoFundMe page indicated that Rosa was pregnant.
