A person of interest in a woman’s Thursday death in Bowling Green has been arrested.

Jimmy David Cole, 29, Bowling Green, has been arrested and is being held on an unreleated warrant, said Bowling Green Police Division Lt. Adam Skaff.

At 4:18 p.m. Thursday, the Wood County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about an unresponsive female in the 300 block of North Main Street.

BGPD officers responded to the location and found 23-year-old Alicia Rosa of Bowling Green deceased.

“It appears to be a suspicious death,” Skaff said.

Division detectives responded and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation was contacted to assist in the investigation.

Skaff said an autopsy was planned.

“Our detectives are actively investigating it and will be working on it throughout the day,” he said.

Cole was taken into custody on his outstanding warrant in Fostoria at 3:15 p.m. Friday. He was transported to the Wood County Justice Center, according to a BGPD news release Friday night.

“The investigation continues in reference to the suspicious death of Alicia Rosa,” the statement said.
