Horger to discuss MLB changes for Exchange Club

Major League baseball games for the past two decades have been getting longer with less action. This year, baseball is implementing several changes in an effort to speed up pace of play, increase action and promote athleticism and fan interest.

Dave Horger, a devoted follower of the game, will explain the rule changes — what they are, why they were added, their impact on the game and how fans will benefit — to the Bowling Green Exchange Club on March 21.

Horger is well known in Bowling Green as the former “voice of the Falcons” and follower of the local sports scene. He was the on-air announcer for BGSU football and basketball games for many years, on WFOB and the Falcon Sports Network.

He was the originator of “The Morning Show,” which is heard from 6-9 a.m. on WBGU-FM, 88.1 and currently hosted by Clint Corpe.

The Exchange Club meets at noon at the Bowling Green Country Club. Guests are welcome. Cost of the lunch is $13.

The Exchange Club is a service group supporting community youth, programs and events in Bowling Green.
