The Wood County District Advisory Council will meet on March 16 at 7 p.m. at Pratt Pavilion, Wood County Fairgrounds.
The purpose of this meeting is to elect the DAC chair and secretary; make necessary appointments to the board of health; receive and consider the annual or special reports from the board; and make recommendations to the board or to the department in regard to matters for the betterment of health and sanitation within the district or for needed legislation.
There is one board seat expiring on March 31, and it is currently held by a physician. Per the Ohio Revised Code, the board must have at least one board member who is a physician. Thus, only physician applicants will be considered for this seat. The term for this seat is five years, beginning on April 1 and expiring on March 31, 2028.
