Anderson addresses BG Rotary
The Bowling Green Rotary Club speaker for Thursday will be Stacy Anderson of Anderson Farms, who is the winner of the 2023 American Farm Bureau Excellence in Agriculture Award as well as the Ohio winner of the Excellence in Agriculture contest for 2022.
Anderson will speak about family farming and her non-profit organization. The club meets at noon Thursday, at the Bowling Green Country Club.
Owens Community College hosts Career Expo
Owens Community College is hosting a career expo for persons interested in working in higher education. Owens employs faculty, adjunct faculty and staff to foster student and community success. For persons hired, benefits include competitive pay, full benefits, tuition waivers and more.
Human Resources staff will be available to answer questions about working at Owens and assist interested persons with completing the Owens employment application.
All attendees will receive an Owens gift bag.
The event is Wednesday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Human Resources offices, located on the second floor of Administration Hall, 30335 Oregon Road, Perrysburg.

Genealogy group hears about newspapers, subscriptions
Wood County Genealogy will meet Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Wood County District Public Library, 251 N. Main St.
Marnie Pratt, local history librarian, will review using newspapers and subscription databases and then the group will adjourn up to the local history department for a lock-in.
