Perrysburg’s Ulrich, Wozniak first team All-NLL

TOLEDO — After the Northern Lakes League bowling meet at Southwyck Lanes last Tuesday, the Bowling Green boys finished third and the Perrysburg boys fourth in the final league standings, including dual meets.

The Perrysburg girls were third and BG boys fourth. Napoleon won both championships.

Perrysburg junior Nathan Ulrich is first team All-NLL with a 208.69 average. On the second team are Perrysburg senior Douglas Husted (200.31) and BG senior Miguel Lorenzen (190.33).

Perrysburg juniors Ronan Gupta (189.31) and Jamey Phillips (189.23) and BG junior Jerrad Main (188.65) are third team.

The All-NLL boys first team also includes Springfield junior Dallas Allen (217.38), Napoleon senior Ashton Kiessling (215.53) and junior Riley Ehlers (213.06) and Maumee junior Charles Coffman (207.21).

On the girls All-NLL team, Perrysburg junior Mackenzie Wozniak (173.73) is first team. She is joined by Napoleon freshman Arriana Kiessling (216.23), junior Carlee Hohenbrink (194.33), and freshman Alexa Miller (181.64) and Springfield sophomore Josie Bartolet (185).

Perrysburg sophomore Julia Gahn (166) and junior Karli Courtney (159.92) are second team and Perrysburg junior Lydia Williams (147.18) and BG senior Haley Roberts (132.13) are third team.

In the boys standings Napoleon finished first in dual meets with a 9-1 record and won the league tournament, taking 42 points, followed by Springfield (7-3, 32), BG (3-7, 27), Perrysburg (5-5, 25), Maumee (4-6, 17) and AW (2-8, 16).

In the girls, Napoleon was 8-0 with 40 points, followed by Springfield (5-3, 31), Perrysburg (5-3, 28), BG (2-6, 19) and AW (1-7, 14).

In the boys tournament with next year’s NLL members Toledo Whitmer, Clay and Fremont Ross also competing, BG finished second among current NLL schools at the league meet.

Total scores were Napoleon (3,784), Whitmer (3,775), BG (3,679), Springfield (3,462), Perrysburg (3,336), AW (3,272), Maumee (3,247), Clay (3,196) and Ross (2.959).

BG game scores were 929-958-943—2,830 and the Bobcats’ Baker scores were 154-210-172-161-152—849. Perrysburg game scores were 902-813-813-2,528 and Baker scores were 168-132-166-176-166—808.

BG boys bowlers were senior Aiden Peper (211-197-139—547), sophomore Cyrus Higham (167-154-231—552), junior Lucas Lily (178-213-236—627), Lorenzen (196-176-179—551) and Main (177-218-158—553).

Perrysburg boys bowlers were Ulrich (233), Gupta (208-178), Wyatt Sorg (154-161), Phillips (179-183), Husted (187-201), Brandon Stark (118), and the Yellow Jackets had two substitutes bowl 174, 134, 145, 145, and 128.

In the girls tournament, team scores were Napoleon (3,453), Springfield (2,983), Perrysburg (2,843), Whitmer (2,747), Clay (2,485), BG (2,380) and AW (2,228).

Perrysburg game scores were 694-711-717—2,122 and BG game scores were 699-549-630-1,878. Perrysburg Bakers were 118-201-117-150-135—721 and BG Bakers were 89-104-122-81-106—502.

Perrysburg individual bowlers were Wozniak (157-133), Courtney (148-151-157), Williams (164-170), Gahn (184), sophomore Raina Springer (97), sophomore Ryley Williard (120), sophomore Ryley Barnett (115) and substitutes bowled 133, 119, 142 and 132.

BG bowlers were sophomore Maya Beagle (134-113-150), sophomore Ali Murphy (110-120), freshman Addison Nickey (123-112-113), sophomore Delani Jarvi (162-121-130), Roberts (170-113-117) and freshman Maggie Landry (90).
