Weston Twp. trustees meet tonight

WESTON — The Weston Township Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting tonight at 6 at the Weston Township Building, located at 14024 Van Tassel Road.

This meeting is being held to discuss the purchase of snow and ice equipment and the purchase of an additional truck.

BG Kiwanis honor second educator

The Bowling Green Kiwanis will meet Thursday at the Wood County Senior Center, 140 S Grove St. The public is welcome to attend.

This week the club will welcome speaker Laura Johns. Her topic of discussion will be “Rewards And Challenges Of Teaching Eighth Grade.”

Johnsis an eighth-grade mathematics teacher at the Bowling Green Middle School. Her undergraduate degree is from Ohio University, and she has taught for 19 years, where the last 18 years have been with Bowling Green City Schools. She is one of the teachers for the Team Endeavor.

The meeting starts at noon and lunch is available starting at 11:30 a.m.
