BG Council hears update on finances
The finance committee of Bowling Green Council will hold a meeting on Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the council chamber located in the City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Church St., to hear the quarterly update on the city’s finances.
This meeting will be live streamed over YouTube at www.bgohio.org/meetings.
Virginia Theater open for a free movie
NORTH BALTIMORE — Come to the Virginia Theater, 119 N. Main St., for a free movie on Thursday at 6 p.m.
This month the North Baltimore Public Library will be showing “Shotgun Wedding” starring Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel. The film is about how criminals hijack a couple’s destination wedding, and the bride and groom try to save their families.
The North Baltimore Rotary is co-sponsoring this event by providing a Valentine’s Gift Basket giveaway. All attendees will be entered for a chance to win the gift basket, including a $100 restaurant gift card and chocolates.
The doors will open at 5:15 pm, with the movie starting at 6 pm. Concessions will be available to purchase. For more information, call 419-257-3621.
Rotarians hear about strength training
The Bowling Green Rotary Club speaker on Thursday will be Josh Chatfield, certified personal trainer for 18 years, and fitness and aquatics manager for Bowling Green Parks and Recreation.
Chatfield will discuss the importance of including strength training into a fitness plan and the roles absolute and relative strength play in longevity. The club meets at noon at Bowling Green Country Club, 923 Fairview Ave.
Custar zoning board meets
CUSTAR — The village’s zoning board will meet on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. at the Custar Legion Hall to review a variance request.
