Gloria Renee Davis, age 97, passed away on January 28, 2023. She was born on August 19, 1925, to the late Francis and Alice Speers. She married Meredith Davis, her college sweetheart on May 11,1946 and they celebrated 69 years together. She lived a long and fulfilling life spilling over with love and laughter. She will be remembered for her warm, welcoming smile, her kind heart, great food and her unwavering commitment to her family and friends.

Gloria had a passion for sports and a love for competition. She was a lifelong swimmer and participated on the synchronized swimming team while attending BGSU. She was an enthusiastic BGSU Falcons fan especially for the women’s basketball team. She was an avid golfer and golf fan. Her love of sports inspired her children and grandchildren to participate in competitive swimming and in golf.

Gloria loved to play bridge and enjoyed weekly bridge games with her friends.

Gloria joined the Alpha XI Delta sorority in college and continued as an active member with the BGSU chapter for her entire life.

Gloria was a devoted lover of God, family and friends, who had an endearing quality of seeing the good in everyone. She leaves behind to mourn her loss, her sister Joann Talsness of Mesquite, NV, along with her children, Dianne Klein, Cindy Stahl, Rick Davis (Nathalie), Kim Davis (Michele), Annette Kramp, Beth Davis-Smith(Steve), Amy Stolz (Doak), 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren that she has influenced and supported. She will always be remembered, cherished and missed.

Gloria was proceeded in death by her husband Meredith Davis, her parents Francis and Alice Speers and her brother Frank Speers.

Visitation for Gloria will be held on Monday February 6, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster Street. A Celebration of

Life service will be held on Tuesday February 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More University Parish located at 425 Thurstin St. in Bowling Green, Ohio. Father Joseph Steinbauer will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery.
