BG bowling splits with Perrysburg

TOLEDO — The Bowling Green boys bowling team had what coach Kyle Main called “an amazing win” against Perrysburg Thursday at Southwyck Lanes, defeating the Yellow Jackets, 2,550-2,276.

After the first game, the Bobcats trailed by 39 points, but Main said the Bobcats “came back fighting with an awesome second game” as all five bowlers hit a 200 game to put BG ahead by 123 pins.

“They continued on to take the three Bakers with a great team momentum,” Main said. “They ended the match with a Baker game of 245. Overall, the BG boys won by 274 pins.”

For BG, Jerrad Main bowled a 170 and 221, Miguel Lorenzen bowled 180 and 210, Aidan Peper bowled 211 and 202, Lucas Lilly bowled 167 and 221, and Cyrus Higham bowled 152 and 200.

Main leads the team with a 189.9 average, followed by Lorenzen (186.4), Peper (181.1), Lilly (180.8) and Higham (173.2).

Perrysburg bowlers were Nathan Ulrich (193), Douglas Husted (176, 189), Jamey Phillips (173, 208), Rohan Gupta (247, 194) and Wyatt Sorg (145).

Besides BG’s 245 Baker game, other Baker scores were 182 and 189. Perrysburg Baker games were 160, 174, and 131.

Perrysburg won the girls match, 2,016-1,497, as Mackenzie Wozniak bowled a 173 and 214 for the Yellow Jackets. Wozniak has a 180.1 average.

Other Perrysburg bowlers were Kari Courtney (166), Riley Williard (165, 145), and Lydia Williams (130, 178).

BG bowlers were Maya Beagle (137, 104), Delanie Jarvi (159, 127), Ali Murphy (81, 111) and Addison Nickey (127, 99).

Perrysburg Baker games were 145, 156, and 147, and BG Baker scores were 93, 128 and 131.
