#HatsNotHate at Lakota High School

KANSAS — The Lakota High School Women’s Leadership Council recently held a #HatNotHate anti-bullying and kindness program.

The 25 council members provided hand-knitted and crocheted blue hats to everyone in the school and challenged all members of the Lakota family to perform an act of kindness.

More than 1,200 acts of kindness were recorded in December.

On Dec. 9, the hats were distributed in the gymnasium and representatives from each class in grades K-12 shared a brief update on the acts of kindness that their groups performed throughout the week.

This is the second year the Women’s Leadership Council has distributed handmade hats.
