Neil D. Johnson, 51, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Thursday January 26, 2023. He was born November 21, 1971 in Toledo to Wayne and Marie (Peterson) Johnson.
Neil obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University where he was a member and advisor of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, receiving an advisor award from Ohio Zeta for his dedication to the chapter. He worked as the Director of Information Services for Jones and Henry Engineers in Toledo, Ohio.
Neil was an avid BGSU Falcon fan and especially loved BGSU Hockey. He enjoyed eating out and trying different restaurants while traveling the tri-state area for work. Neil volunteered at the previous Camp Mowana facility in Richland County, Ohio preparing the grounds for many years. He also loved to watch TV, play along with Jeopardy, and collect mascots from the colleges he visited around the country.
He is survived by his mother Marie Johnson of Bowling Green, sister Lona (Mark) Leck of Bowling Green, cousin Kevin Peterson of Iron, Minnesota, niece Larissa Leck of California and numerous extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father Wayne A. Johnson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday February 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 315 S. College Dr. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to BGSU Hockey.
