Bowling Green State University’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee has announced a sports clinic for National Girls and Women In Sports Day on Wednesday.

The clinic, which will run from 5:45-6:45 p.m., will feature members of each of BGSU’s women’s athletic teams interacting and engaging with children to teach the importance of sport participation, leadership and leading a healthy and active lifestyle.

“We love being able to promote our women’s athletic programs while encompassing a fun and engaging skills clinic for young kids,” said Chet Hesson, BGSU senior associate AD/deputy Title IX coordinator.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to give back, while also spreading opportunities for athletic participation and highlighting our fantastic women’s teams at BGSU.”

After the event, all participants are invited to join BGSU women’s basketball as the team hosts Western Michigan at 7 p.m.

Registration is limited to the first 75 children in grades 1-8 and registration must be completed by visiting www.bgsufalcons.com.

All participants will receive a ticket to the game. For any questions, e-mail Meghan Horn at [email protected].
