Custar Legion offers Friday meal
CUSTAR — The Custar American Legion will host a supper Friday with the choice of liver and onions or chicken breast.
The meal will be served from 5-7 p.m. at the hall on Custar Road. It is dine in or carry out.
It also will include baked potato, green beans, coleslaw, roll, drink and cookies.
It is open to the public and donations will be accepted.
Proceeds will be used by Auxiliary Unit 305 to send a representative to Buckeye Girls State.
Soil, water conservation district meets
The Wood Soil & Water Conservation District regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors will be held on Friday at 9:45 a.m. at Stone Ridge Golf Club, 1553 Muirfield Drive.
Genealogical society meets Tuesday
The Wood County Chapter of Ohio Genealogical Society will meet on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Wood County Senior Center, 140 S. Grove St. The public is welcome.
The brief business meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Geoffrey Howes, professor emeritus of German, Russian and East Asian Languages at Bowling Green State University will be speaker. His program will be “A Paper for the German Community of Wood County: T.O. Dammann and Die Post.”
Freedom Twp. meeting time changed
PEMBERVILLE — The Freedom Township Board of Trustees meeting scheduled for Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. has been moved to 8 a.m. in the township meeting room, 531 E. Front St.
