On Aug. 11, the Eastwood FFA officer team got together to plan the FFA events for the year.
The officer team consists of Katie Oestreich, chapter president; Mallory Kramer, vice president; Mariah Hahn, secretary; Olivia Newsome, Treasurer; Sophia D’Amore, reporter; Emma Ruffner, student adviser; and Logan Brinker, sentinel. The officer team was elected in March by their fellow FFA members.
The officers spent the morning at Eastwood High School learning about leadership methods and making goals for the chapter. They also planned the FFA events for the beginning half of the school year. Once all of the work was done, the officer team and FFA adviser, Jerry Swartz, went to Sportway of Toledo to bond as a team. There, they played a game of mini golf and raced in go-karts. To finish off the day, they stopped at Chick-Fil-A to eat.
