Sandusky St. Mary 55, Lakota 44

SANDUSKY — Lakota trailed Sandusky St. Mary by just one, 24-23, at halftime, and the Raiders grabbed a 40-37 lead entering the fourth quarter.

However, the Panthers went on an 18-4 to close the game and defeat the Raiders, 55-44, in Sandusky Bay Conference River Division play Friday.

St. Mary improves to 4-8 overall and 4-5 in the SBC River, while Lakota falls to 1-11 and 1-8.

Lance Powell led the Panthers with 13 points and Collin Zender scored 13 to lead the Raiders.

Mitchell Rosser scored nine points, Alex McGinnis scored six points, Carson Hill and Jacob Stuller scored five points apiece, and Alex Holman and Mitch McDaid scored three apiece for Lakota.

For St. Mary, Charlie Kaftan scored eight points, Brock Gill scored seven, and Sedrick Cook, Braylon Harris and Nathan Wehner scored six apiece.

Kyle West scored four points, Brayden Gill scored three points, and Dylan Myers added two points for the Panthers.
