BRADNER — The Montgomery Township Trustees’ year-end meeting is scheduled for Friday at 5 p.m. at the Montgomery Township Building, 1950 Mermill Road.

Tontogany establishes 2023 schedule

TONTOGANY — The Village of Tontogany 2023 council meeting schedule has been established. The first meeting will be Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. in the Village Hall.

All subsequent meetings are scheduled for the first and third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Village Hall, with the exception of Sept. 4, which will be canceled in observance of Labor Day.

3 turnpike crash victims identified

Three of the four people who were killed in a crash on the Ohio Turnpike Friday have been identifed.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol on Sunday identified the deceased as Bernard M. Bloniarz, 59, of Napoleon; Emma L. Smith, 19, of Webberville, Mich.; and Julie E. Roth, 37, of Toledo.

The name and age of the fourth victim are being withheld until their family is notified.

Forty-six vehicles were involved in the wreck that closed the turnpike in both directions over several miles in Sandusky and Erie counties.
