Jason Allen Myerholtz, 50, of Marengo, Ohio passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022 in his home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on Jan. 11, 1972 in Bowling Green, OH to Arthur and Judy (Milligan) Myerholtz.

He spent his childhood in BG participating in Boy Scouts, 4-H, little league baseball and FFA.

Jason is a graduate of Bowling Green High School and the University of Toledo, with an Associate of Electronic Engineering degree. In addition, he earned various certification in the IT domain such as VMware, Redhat, and Dream Weaver. He worked his entire career in different parts of information technology, most recently working as an engineer focused on server and cloud management.

He loved all kind of animals, computers, golf, had a hole in one and was a big OSU fan.

He is survived by his parents and children, Adrianna (Luke Weber) of Marengo, OH, Brandon (Dana Reynolds) of Mount Vernon, OH, and Logan of Bellville, OH; three grandchildren, Paislee, Hazel, and Coleson, and special friend Shelly Cantrell. Also surviving are siblings Brian (Laurie) Myerholtz of Winnetka, IL, and Julie Myerholtz (Todd Snauwaert) of Deerfield, IL; nieces and nephews Katie & Alex Myerholtz and Ethan & Emily Snauwaert.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ember, and his grandparents Norman & Catherine Milligan and Myron & Mary Myerholtz.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, Dec. 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Snyder Funeral Home, 637 North St. Rt. 61, Sunbury, OH. A celebration of life will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Marengo Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
