The Wood County District Public Library is featuring local authors in the Meet the Local Author Series.

Join WCDPL for the first of this series with author William Scovell on Jan. 14 at 2 p.m. in Meeting Room C at the library, 251 N. Main St.

Author of “You Can’t Make This Stuff Up,” Scovell has been able to find humor in almost every encounter in his diverse life. “You Can’t Make This Stuff Up” is a cheeky homage to his own upbringing and adventures as an adult. A writer and scientist, he has previously published three study guides in chemistry and 60 peer-reviewed journal articles in chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology.

“You Can’t Make This Stuff Up” is his first book, and he is currently at work on a second. Scovell lives in Bowling Green with his wife, Eleanor. He loves life at the lake, plays guitar and has four grown children; one is a businessman, and the other three are doctors.
