LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Bowling Green senior outside hitter Petra Indrova as an Honorable Mention All-American.

This marks the second consecutive season Indrova has been named after being named an Honorable Mention a season ago as well. Last year, Indrova became the first player in program history to be named an AVCA All-American.

The award adds to a lengthy list of accolades for Indrova this season. She was named AVCA All-Northeast Region Honorable Mention, MAC Player of the Year and All-MAC First Team. After being the first AVCA All-American in program history last year, Indrova is now the first player to receive the award multiple times as well.

“We are thrilled and proud that Petra was named a back-to-back AVCA All-America Honorable Mention and recognized for another fantastic season as a BGSU Falcon,” BGSU coach Danijela Tomic said. “To be selected into this exclusive group of elite student-athletes is a huge honor. Petra exemplifies everything good about college athletics. She is a great player, but an even better person, teammate and role model.”

Over the course of the 2022 season, Indrova became the first Falcon since 2012 to tally at least 300 kills and 300 digs in the same season, finishing with 332 of each.

She tallied a team-high 12 double-doubles in the process, while leading the team in kills and being second for digs. Indrova’s 332 kills brought her career total to 1,348, moving into eighth in program history for career kills.

She also moved into the Top 10 for career attack attempts as well, moving up to fifth all-time with 3,619. As for service aces, Indrova landed a team-high and career-high 37 for the Falcons, finishing fourth in the Mid-American Conference.
